Boil Water Advisory in effect for Wakarusa

There’s a boil water advisory in Wakarusa.

It’s due to chlorine levels at the water plant aren’t up to what the Department of Environmental Management requires.

So, just to be safe, residents are advised to boil water for at least three minutes before using it for cooking or drinking.

Once they get the chlorine levels back to normal, the water department will test it again to double-check that everything’s okay.
