The re-opening of the newly remodeled Crawford Park is happening on Thursday.

The Mishawaka Parks and Rec Department announced the grand re-opening earlier this week.

The park has been remodeled to be a nature park with man-made wetlands that will separate the walkway from the new play area and splash pad. It will feature the new active play area for children as well as a neighborhood lawn area for open play and special events.

A new restroom building and three new picnic shelters have also been added, as well as a new small off-street parking lot.

The re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for Thursday at 11 a.m. and free Kona Ice will be available.
