Suspect sought after robbery at 1st Source Bank on Ireland Road

The South Bend Police Department is seeking information regarding a bank robbery on the city’s south side.

It was around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, when officers responded to a report of a robbery at 1st Source Bank in the 2000 block of Ireland Road.

At this time, the investigation indicates the suspect entered the bank before approaching a teller window, demanding money from the drawer. The suspect then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money prior to officers’ arrival. No one was injured.

South Bend Police Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit reviewed the surveillance video and obtained a description of the suspect. The suspect is a tall, thin white male wearing a florescent safety/work-style jacket, a Yellowstone hat, and a surgical mask.
