City of Elkhart disables comments on Facebook page

The city of Elkhart has disabled comments on its Facebook page.
Councilman Aaron Mishler posted a statement saying it was due to “continued harassment of city staff in various comments.”
He adds it got to the level where they were concerned about people’s safety.
City officials say they are not looking to silence anyone, but want to keep the online environment safe for everyone.

They don’t want to hear how bad they are really doing!

Curious. They do dumb stuff, ignore The People that pays them, then try to hide form comments. It’s words not action you fools. I am so glad I pay ZERO taxes to the City of Elkhart. I wonder if anyone did a calculation to see of all the work at the toll road exit will pay off for the locals. I have never stopped at an exit because of the display there. I stop to have a meal, relieve myself or the passengers, stay the night, or it is my destination. The stuff being built is all fluff and will be an ongoing maintenance expense. Is that the kind of comment you are all hiding from?

People of Elkhart, keep your opinions to yourselves like the good sheep the government of Elkhart demands you be.
