One dead, one arrested after collision on State Road 2

A crash led to one death and one arrest. Police were called to a collision at State Road 2 and Pine Road, late Thursday night, June 20, and found Rene Hernandez-Ramirez, 33, who reported the other driver had fled in a gray SUV.
Shortly after, officers found the gray SUV overturned a mile and a half north on Pine Road, with Justus Taylor O’Hara, 27, trapped underneath.
O’Hara was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash also damaged utility poles and power lines. Hernandez-Ramirez showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for suspected DUI.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the fatal crash.
