A 29-year-old man from LaPorte died in a car crash in Berrien County early Thursday morning, July 3.

Police report that he lost control while driving on Deans Hill Road. His car hit a guardrail, went into a ditch, and struck several large trees.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are still investigating what caused the crash.
