A Westville woman is being held without bond after allegedly leading police on a lengthy vehicle chase.

33-year-old Samantha Ravenscroft was reportedly behind the wheel of a speeding car when a police officer attempted a traffic stop. However, she reportedly continued accelerating.

Police say she threw a bag of methamphetamine out of her passenger side window during the pursuit, and they say they deployed stop sticks which flattened at least one of her tires near U.S. 20., though she continued driving until stopping at Beverly Drive.

The woman was found to have been driving with her 14- and 13-year-olds in the vehicle, who were taken to their grandmother’s home as Ravenscroft was taken into custody.
