A woman was taken to the hospital after she was struck by a car.

It happened around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the intersection of Lincolnway East and Laing Street.

Mishawaka Police and Fire crews arrived to to find the woman suffered an injury to her left leg.

The woman was conscious and alert, though the severity of her injuries was not immediately known.

Police say alcohol or drugs don’t appear to be factors.
