Goshen woman arrested for domestic battery, firearm discharge

Police in Goshen arrested a local woman following a domestic altercation that involved the discharge of a firearm.

Officers responded to an apartment in the 400 block of Johnston Street at around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sep. 14.

Through their investigation, authorities determined that Naomi Lama Garcia, 25, had fired a weapon during the incident.

There was no word of any injuries.

Garcia was arrested on charges of domestic battery in the presence of a minor and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. She is currently being held at the Elkhart County Jail.
