A reminder that the Humane Society of Elkhart County is waiving adoption fees for all animals for the rest of the week to try to clear out the shelter.
This, after a fire scare late Monday morning. The Bristol and Osolo Fire Departments raced to the scene and found a refrigerator used to store vaccines had caught fire.
Luckily, the fire did not spread, but power to the building for air conditioning was cut out of precaution.
