Expect a banana shortage if dockworkers go on strike

If U.S. dockworkers go on strike at the end of the month, there will be a shortage of bananas at grocery stores.

Bananas are the most consumed fresh fruit in the U.S., and about two-thirds of the bananas sold are unloaded at East Coast and Gulf Coast ports.

Port Wilmington, Delaware, is a major Chiquita and Dole distribution hub and handles grapes, clementines, pears, and kiwi worldwide.

Fire them all, hire non union and bring sanity back to the port wages.

If the public knew what those longshoremen were getting paid already, they would not support this strike.
