The Indiana Department of Homeland Security says if you want to help victims of Hurricane Helene or Milton, donate and do not self-deploy to the area.
“The first impulse for people is to want to help when they see the devastation on TV or have friends and family in the area.
That is totally understandable,” said Mary Moran, director of Emergency Management with IDHS.
Cash donations are the most effective and will be put to use immediately. Visit the FEMA Volunteer and Donate page for a list of reputable organizations to direct donations.

SCREW THEM. Americans are free people. They can do as they wish. Government has no business telling what to do and when to do it. If you must go south, get in touch with an organization on the ground to see where to fit in. The Federal DHS has already shown themselves to be utterly incompetent. They are more about spending money on invaders than helping US Citizens that have their homes blown or washed away. No place int he US Constitution is there authorization for FEMA, DHS or most of the other alphabet agencies. NO WHERE! Big government means unplayable debt and even larger incompetence when it comes to getting things don. Just compare the competence of Florida and Governor Ron DeSantis to the performance of FEMA in Appalachia. Just look at the many stories about how FEMA is deterring people from helping their neighbors. The certainly cannot all be false
Shut up, without government there’s chaos. We can’t trust your competency to look out for all citizens. Read what Jefferson had to say about balance of power
Naw sorry FEMA we will not get out of your way if you will not do your job then the American ppl will 😒
