Michigan City woman arrested after allegedly leading officer on short chase

31-year-old Brianna Ellis of Michigan City was arrested early Wednesday morning after an officer reportedly saw her going over 8- miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.

When the officer attempted to stop Ellis, she allegedly sped off, running several red lights and ending the chase at the intersection of Michigan St. and Oakhill Ave. where she was arrested.

Her BAC was found to be over three times the legal limit.
