You are probably aware that healthcare costs were major talking points this election season. Well, a recent study shows that Indiana is one of the cheapest states in which to visit a pediatrician.
According to Birth Injury Lawyers Group, Indiana is the sixth cheapest state on the list. The first five, in order, are Arkansas, Mississippi, Idaho, Nebraska, and Tennessee.
On the other hand, Alaska is considered to be the most expensive. These results were determined by evaluating the average max Medicare costs for new patients in 2022.
In the Hoosier state, that average cost is $167.54. The national average cost is $177.90.
Bob Goldwater with Birth Injury Lawyers Group says, “Having a sick child can be a worrying and stressful experience… The experience can be much more stressful with this added bill to pay.”
