Two found dead in pickup truck pulled out of St. Joseph River

Two people were found dead after authorities in Elkhart County pulled a pickup truck out of the St. Joseph River.
Sheriff’s investigators say the driver of a pickup truck was traveling east on State Road 120 west of County Road 19, around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, ran off the northside of the roadway, traveled down a ditch, and into the St Joseph River.
Two bodies were recovered from the vehicle.  The victims are identified as Theo Bean, 30, of Elkhart and Tireno Washington, 39, of Bristol. The two had been reported missing by the Sheriff’s office, last seen around 5 a.m. on Monday morning, Nov. 11.
Besides the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office and the County Coroner, Bristol Police, South Bend Police, Indiana State Police, and the Elkhart Fire Department Dive Team were called to the scene to help.
