Three cows dead after livestock trailer hit by train

(Photo supplied/ABC 57)
Police say three cows were killed Tuesday when the trailer that had been transporting them was hit by a train near the Steuben/DeKalb county line.
Officers say Joshua Potts was driving a pickup truck with an attached livestock trailer when he started to go through a railroad crossing…and his vehicle was hit by a train.
The collision caused the trailer to separate from the truck, and three of the 43 cows on board were killed.
No humans were seriously hurt, but some of the train cars and the truck were damaged in the crash.
