The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Indiana State Fire Marshals Office, is investigating a fire that occurred at the Gallops Gas Station and Truck Stop at U.S. 20 and State Road 39.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the truck stop, just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, on the report of vehicle fire.

Upon arrival, they found three semi-tractor trailers fully engulfed by flames.

By the time the fire was extinguished, six semi-tractors had caught fire, four of which were completely destroyed.
