Man injured, man arrested after shooting at Hickory Village Apartments

One man was injured and another arrested after an alcohol-fueled argument led to a shooting at Hickory Village Apartments in Mishawaka.

Officers were called around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, by the victim who said they had been shot and the shooter was still on scene.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the chest and their condition was stabilized.

The suspect, identified as Joshua Peacock, was arrested by Mishawaka Police and charged with Battery By Means of a Deadly Weapon. He’s due in court on Monday.
