A Dowagiac man already in prison received another prison sentence last week.

36-year-old Cordeleus Martin was found guilty of armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, assault with a dangerous weapon and three counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Leader Publications says the incident happened at Dale’s Mini-Mart in Niles Township in April of 2023.

Martin was already in prison for an armed robbery-related conviction for an incident in Cass County in July of 2023, and has now been sentenced to 15 years to 45 years on the armed robbery charge, 24 months to five years for firearm possession, 24 months to four years for assault and two years on the felony firearms charges.
