The Cass County sheriffs department is currently investigating a larceny case.
A large Walnut Tree, valued at around $2,000, that had been previously cut down was stolen on Old Mill Road in Cass County.
Detectives began investigating, and on January 7, they received reports of the suspects attempting to sell the tree.
The tree was returned to its owner, and two individuals were arrested on warrants. However, the investigation is still ongoing, and detectives are requesting charges on all suspects involved in the larceny and sale of the tree.
