It wasn’t a good day,  on Tuesday, Jan. 14, for drivers in St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties.

Police had to deal with multiple crashes, especially on the U.S. 20 bypass on the west side of South Bend.

One of those wrecks, between State Road 2 and Mayflower Road, involved at least 10-to-15 cars, according to St. Joseph County Police.

A county officer had to drive off the road to avoid being hit by a semi. Fortunately, they are okay.

Police had to deal with multiple crashes on Indiana Toll Road in western St. Joseph County and eastern LaPorte County, as well.
