Man stabbed on Wagner Avenue in Elkhart arrested

UPDATE: The man who was hospitalized after being stabbed on Wednesday night in Elkhart has been arrested. Police were called to the 400 block of Wagner Avenue around 8 o’clock, Wednesday night, to find Aaron Jennings, 51, of Niles wounded. During the investigation, officers determined that probable cause existed to arrest Jennings for an unrelated domestic battery that occurred earlier in the day, as well as Disorderly Conduct. The Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing formal charges.

ORIGINAL STORY: A man was taken to the hospital after an apparent stabbing in Elkhart.

It happened around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the 400 block of Wagner Avenue.

Officers arrived on scene to find the victim with stab wounds.

So far there is no word on the severity of his injuries, what led to the stabbing and any possible suspects.
