Slippery start to Sunday morning on area roads

As you get up early to head out to church or maybe the store to get ready for the Super Bowl, St. Joseph County Police want to remind you that roads are still very slick in spots.

Deputies have responded to multiple crashes.

Some of the most recent include:

A single-vehicle crash with injuries at Day Rd and Felicity Dr. The driver lost control on the snow-covered, icy roadway and hit a pole.

There was a single-vehicle crash at Grant Rd and Wild Heather Dr. Again, the driver lost control due to road conditions and hit a pole. Luckily, no injuries were reported.

A car crashed in the 66000 block of Smilax Rd. Luckily, no injuries were reported.

There was a single-vehicle slide off on the bypass at the 82-mile-marker.

St. Joseph County Police also responded to three slide offs on Ireland Road between Bremen Highway and Ironwood on Saturday.
