Woman arrested for property damage, battery at Goshen IHOP

A woman was taken into custody after allegedly causing a disturbance and damaging property inside an IHOP restaurant on Ferndale Road.
According to police reports, officers were called around 10:50 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, to the restaurant, located at 2905 Ferndale Road, where a female suspect was reportedly destroying property. Upon arrival, authorities identified the woman as Lorena Rodriguez Morales, 29.
Morales was arrested at the scene and charged with Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct, and Battery. She was transported to the Elkhart County Jail, where she remains in custody.
Authorities have not released further details on the extent of the damage or the events leading up to the incident.
