Former Clay High School Principal elected as Interim Superintendent of South Bend Schools

South Bend Schools has a new superintendent. It’s former principal of Clay High School Mansour Eid.

Following Wednesday night’s school board vote, he’ll be serving, effective immediately, as “Interim Superintendent” after Dr. Todd Cummings and the school corporation parted ways after he failed to cancel or delay classes, earlier this month, during a major ice event that led to difficult travel.

Eid has worked for the district for more than three decades.

What is the back story? This educator also had some political troubles with the school board in the past with strong community support for him??? From memory
