County jails in Indiana are no longer getting payments from the Indiana Department of Corrections for holding state prisoners and low-level felons.
The IDOC says they have exhausted their funding for Fiscal Year 2025 and is working with the State Budget Agency to figure out options.
Corrections department spokeswoman Annie Goeller says they continue to communicate with counties on the issue.
