The Elkhart Police Department’s Peace Officers Memorial Service is happening this Friday.

The department honors and remembers fallen officers each May, recognizing the daily sacrifices of the law enforcement community.

Mayor Rod Roberson and Congressman Rudy Yakym will speak at the event, happening at 5 p.m. on Central Green.
