A Bristol man has been sentenced for setting fire to his former boss’ work vehicles.
Reports say 39-year-old Robert Norman had told the victims he was going to burn their house down prior to the incident.
Norman had been working for him but was fired due to poor work performance and the use of drugs while on the job.
Norman was also told he would not be paid until he removed personal effects from the victim’s backyard. Police say they were called out for Norman threatening to set fires, and the next day the victim found his International 400 work truck and stump chipper on fire.
The Goshen News says Norman pleaded guilty to the August 2024 arson and was sentenced to five years at the Indiana Department of Corrections.
