Damage to I-65 in Lake County after a semi fire

Northbound lanes of I-65 were shut down early Saturday afternoon after a semi fire.

Officials from INDOT and The Indiana State Police said there was severe pavement damage at the site of the crash, around MM 238 just south of SR 2.

That stretch of the interstate was being shut down for several hours in order to allow crews to repave the stretch.

No other details have been released.
