Tributes are pouring in following the death of longtime Walkerton Police Sergeant Jim Christie.

Christie began his law enforcement career in the 1980s in Osceola and served with the Walkerton Police Department for 30 years.

Though he retired in 2020, he continued working as a patrolman until his recent passing.

His daughter works at the St. Joseph County Jail.
