Firefighters in Marshall County trained Wednesday to sharpen their grain bin rescue skills amid rising deaths.

Using a grain-filled trailer, crews practiced pulling each other out while harnessed in a hands-on simulation.

The training highlighted how quickly grain bin emergencies can turn deadly and the importance of a quick, skilled response.

Marshall County Fire Association President John Grolich said, “You never know when this will happen, so you have to be ready.”
