A Notre Dame student is working to combat world hunger in a not-so-typical way.

Austin Baron, a sophomore at Notre Dame from Ashburn, Virginia, is competing on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior and is now headed to the finals after being one of only nine people to complete the semifinal obstacle course.

Baron took on the competition to raise more money for Knot Perfect after previously competing on the show in 2023 and raising enough money to feed 40,000 hungry people.

WNDU says there are two more semifinal episodes of the popular show before the national finals.
