Small business owners express concerns over tariffs

Some small-business owners and farmers are expressing concerns over the growing uncertainty surrounding federal trade tariffs.

A 90-day pause expired last week with no new trade deals, bringing new tariff notices. A Detroit boutique owner said in a webinar by Farmers for Free Trade and Tariffs Cost US that this is her most difficult time in business.

She said large corporations stockpiled goods ahead of tariffs, but small businesses can’t afford to do that. However, WSJM says about 19% of small business owners believe tariffs will boost their income and strengthen the U.S. economy in the long run.

“However, WSJM says about 19% of small business owners believe tariffs will boost their income and strengthen the U.S. economy in the long run.”

So only 19% of small business owners actually understand economics? That’s pretty sad.
