Parents charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death will not face trial until at least January.

Amanda Fahlbeck reported her 2-week-old son unresponsive in May of 2022, and he was later pronounced dead. Fahlbeck claimed the baby had slept in bed with her and Nick Hunsberger, the babies father.

The Goshen News says the autopsy showed drug exposure, preterm birth and unsafe sleep as factors.

Their trials were continued in court last week, but a date has not yet been determined, and a status conference was scheduled for October when a jury trial date will be decided on.
