Indiana universities are cutting 75 degree programs, including 68 with zero enrollment, as part of a state budget bill.
More than 300 other degrees will be suspended or consolidated to comply with the new requirement to eliminate low-enrollment programs.
The legislation, House Enrolled Act 1001, mandates the suspension of such programs unless a waiver is obtained. Ball State University is leading the list with 51 programs being eliminated or consolidated, including master’s degrees in Teaching Major in English/Language Arts and software engineering.

This law kinda missed the mark. The degrees ending in “-studies” are popular enough to avoid cancellation, even though they are worthless… far more worthless than a master’s in software engineering!
