Notre Dame students and other people climbed the stadium steps Wednesday to honor the first responders who rushed into the World Trade Center on 9/11.
The annual ND110 challenge had participants complete 110 flights – the same number firefighters faced in the towers.
Most climbers were students, many born after the attacks, but organizers said the event also drew people from outside campus who wanted to pay tribute.
The climb raised money for Heart 9/11, a nonprofit founded by first responders.
Last year’s event brought in more than $30,000.
