When a domestic violence call comes in, every second counts.

Through the Domestic Abuse–Law Enforcement program, officers can immediately connect survivors with YWCA North Central Indiana advocates for crisis support, safety planning and shelter.

This month, in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the YWCA is recognizing officers who have gone above and beyond to protect survivors.

DA-LE Partnership Service Awards were presented at a special ceremony on Thursday at the YWCA in South Bend, and other community advocates were recognized and thanked as well.
