A proposal to erect a 275-foot financial trading tower among Clay Township neighborhoods is off the table. That’s according to St. Joseph County Councilwoman Amy Drake who says Neighborhoods within the area, off Ironwood, and just south of the Michigan border, rallied against the proposed project, fearing big drops in their property values.
The controversial project, not only drew neighborhood ire, but council members also came out openly against the project – indicating there would not be support for the tower if it came up for a public vote… with that, the petitioner pulled the project.
Drake calls it a win for the people of Clay Township.

I stared at this article for a minute, trying to figure out what a “financial trading tower” is. Is it an office building?
Then it dawned on me… your article and headline should probably say, “financial trading radio communications tower.”
Now if only they would listen to the people of New Carlisle as well as they listened to the wealthy Granger residents…
