Michigan City Police responded to the scene of a death investigation. Officers were called around 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, to the area of the 700 block of Indiana State Road 212.

One individual was found deceased and the incident is under active investigation.

The Michigan City Police Department’s Investigative Division was summoned to the scene along with the LaPorte County Coroner’s Office. So far, there’s no word about the cause and manner of the person’s death.
