An apparent murder-suicide is under investigation in LaGrange County. Sheriff’s deputies were called around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, for a welfare check at a home in the 3000 block of State Road 5 in Topeka.

Deputies found the house locked and couldn’t reach the residents.

A family member later arrived, entered the home, and discovered Deonicia Marroquin Flores, 70, and Rafael Flores, 70, dead inside.

The investigation into what exactly happened is still underway.
