The City of South Bend has announced that residents can now access free legacy planning services.

The program, offered through the South Bend Financial Empowerment Center, provides one-on-one counseling to help families protect their assets and plan for the future.

Mayor James Mueller says the service helps remove barriers that often prevent people from safeguarding what they’ve built. Since opening in March, the center has already helped clients reduce more than $95,000 in debt.

Appointments are available in-person, online, or by phone at the MLK Dream Center. More details can be found at southbendfec.org.
