The Indiana State Police have been requested to investigate an inmate death at the Indiana Department of Corrections South Bend Community Re-Entry Center located at 4650 Old Cleveland Road in South Bend,.
Preliminary information indicates that IDOC staff discovered Christopher Nahas, 44, of Indianapolis, deceased in his bed on Friday, Oct. 31, at approximately 11:40 a.m.
IDOC staff attempted live-saving efforts until South Bend EMS arrived. EMS arrived and pronounced.
Nahas deceased at approximately 11:45 a.m.
