The results are in for election day north of the state line.

Michigan’s election results from this week saw the approval of two millage renewals for Lake Michigan College, as well as a bond proposal for the St. Joseph Public Schools. A similar bond was rejected for the Eau Claire schools.

In Niles, voters renewed the Dial-A-Ride millage and gave mixed results for marijuana businesses. They rejected the township’s zoning rules on where pot businesses can locate, and other restrictions — and voted in favor of prohibiting marijuana establishments in Niles Township.

All results are unofficial until certified by election commissioners.

I don’t believe those are mixed results on the marijuana business decisions in Niles Township.
As I understand it, both sets of results are essentially saying the majority of voters don’t want marijuana businesses located there.
