The City of South Bend is helping residents in need this holiday season with two free community meal pick-up events.

On Wednesday, December 17, about 200 turkey-to-go meals will be available at the Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Center on Linden Avenue from 4 to 6 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each meal includes sides, dessert and bottled water. A second distribution will happen on Thursday, December 18, at the Charles Black Community Center on West Washington Street, also from 4 to 6 p.m.
