Cassopolis woman airlifted after fiery crash in LaGrange Township

A Cassopolis woman had to be rescued from her burning car after a crash.
Deputies were were called around 4:15 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12, to the intersection of Beeson Street and M-62.
Investigators say the 39-year0old driver was traveling eastbound on Beeson when her vehicle went off the side of the roadway and struck several trees.
The vehicle then ricocheted across the roadway, rolled into a field and ignited. The woman had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flown by MedFlight to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment.
