Two arrested after police call off pursuit in Elkhart County

Two men were arrested after police ended a vehicle pursuit in Elkhart County.
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle around 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, on Ash Road, but the driver fled, prompting a pursuit. Police later terminated the chase due to weather conditions and the driver’s behavior.
A short time later, officers located the vehicle on County Road 38 east of State Road 19 with two occupants still inside.
Police arrested Justin McDonald, 20, who faces charges including possession of a machine gun, possession of marijuana, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
A passenger, Eric Dixon, 20, was arrested on charges of possession of a machine gun and possession of marijuana.
Both were booked into the Elkhart County Jail.
