The city of Elkhart’s Elkhart RiverWalk is getting national attention after being nominated for Best Riverwalk in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Online voting is now open and will continue through April 6. USA Today describes the RiverWalk as a popular destination along the Elkhart River, where visitors can enjoy public art, local boutiques and the colorful Quilt Gardens.
The walk also features restaurants and the nearby NIBCO Water and Ice Park, which serves as a splash pad in summer and an ice rink in winter.
Tourism officials say the RiverWalk is a favorite stop for visitors exploring downtown Elkhart.
