A wedding at the LaPorte County Courthouse, on Tuesday, March 17, came to a sudden stop when deputies arrested the groom just before the ceremony.

Authorities say Bradley Armstrong, a convicted and classified sexually violent predator, is accused of falsifying information on his marriage license application.

Investigators say Armstrong failed to disclose his status as a lifetime sex and violent offender, leading to an arrest warrant on a Level 6 felony charge.

Officers moved in shortly before the ceremony and took Armstrong into custody. He was booked into the LaPorte County Jail.
