Bristol leaders voted to add about 500 acres of farmland into the town. A lot of people in the community are against it.
Many showed up to a town meeting and spoke out, saying they’re worried the land could eventually be used for a data center.
Concerns focused on water use, noise, and property values.
Rezoning wasn’t part of this vote, but people said they’re worried about what could come next.
Town leaders say bringing the land into the town gives them more control over future decisions, like setting rules on noise and lighting.
Some people say they’re now looking at legal options to try to keep the land for farming.

Indiana is one of only two states where the cities can annex at will and AGAINST the will of the people being annexed. Our legislators need to update the laws and put a stop to this insane practice.
This is usually done by local politicians for the main reason of increasing their taxable land. Whatever party they say they belong to they are tax and spend leaches.
