The Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds has announced plans for a major expansion with the new Forest River, Inc. and Peter J. Liegl Ag and Community Expo.

The 47,500-square-foot facility will support agricultural programs, youth development and regional events.

Groundbreaking is set for September 11, with completion expected by summer 2027 ahead of the county fair.

The project is funded through private donations, grants and fairground resources.

Officials say the new space will enhance year-round programming while attracting larger events, including trade shows and RV rallies, further boosting tourism and community engagement across Elkhart County.
